Hyderabad, Feb 2 (PTI) Pepperdine University ofCalifornia has come forward with a proposal to set upeducational facilities in Andhra Pradesh.
A nine-member delegation from the University, led byTimothy M Chester, met Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy heretoday and submitted the proposal.
Pepperdine, one of the top-20 universities in the world,sought about 600 acres of land on the Nalgonda-Warangal routefor setting up its campus with an investment of Rs 1,000crore, a press release from the Chief Minister''s Office said.
The university would have an intake of 3,000 studentsbesides several exchange programmes in law and engineering.
Established in 1937, Pepperdine has presence in Germany,England, Italy, Argentina and China, apart from the US.
Minister for Information Technology, Ponnala Lakshmaiahaccompanied the University''s delegation.
