BJP decries killing of sisters by Lashkar ultras in Kashmir

Kolkata, Feb 1 (PTI) BJP today condemned the killingof two sisters by LeT militants in Kashmir and accused theOmar Abdullah government of having failed to fight the ultrasstriking terror in the valley.

"BJP condemns the killing of innocent people in thename of Jehad. Islam will not accept this," party nationalspokesman Shahnawaz Hussain told reporters here.

"The Omar Abdullah government has no control. Itspolicies are more tailored in caning the people who want tohoist the national flag on Republic Day," Hussain saidalluding to the recent measures by the Abdullah government toprevent its national leaders and youth wing activists to hoistthe Tricolour at Lal Chowk on January 26.

"How will they (the state government) fight theextremists then," he said.

Hussain also wanted to know from separatist leaderslike Yasin Malik as to "why they are silent over the brutalkillings of civilians."

Lashkar-e-Toiba militants have shot dead two sistersafter dragging them out of their house at around 10 PM lastnight in Sopore town of North Kashmir''s Baramulla district.
