Bahrain Financial Exchange to commence operations on Feb 7

Mumbai, Feb 1 (PTI) Financial Technologies Grouppromoted, the Bahrain Financial Exchange (BFX) is scheduled tocommence live operations from February 7.

The BFX, the Middle East and North Africa''s first evermulti-asset exchange, will see two phases to its roll out. Inthe first phase, its Islamic division Bait Al Bursa willlaunch its e-Tayseer platform for general use on February 7,followed one month later by its conventional division on theMarch 7, a Financial Technologies release said.

BFX''s official launch ceremony in Bahrain today washosted by Rasheed Mohammed Al Maraj, Governor of the CentralBank of Bahrain and Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, thePrime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
