New Delhi, Feb 1: Delhi police filed an First Information Report (FIR) against the AIIMS doctor who allegedly sodomised an eight-year-old boy who was admitted for brain tumour treatment.

The case was filed on Monday, Jan 31 evening after receiving a complaint from the boy's father. Police officials said that the accused doctor is likely to be arrested on Tuesday. The boy was allegedly molested a day (Jan 23) before being discharged from the hospital.

The FIR has been filed under sections 377 (unnatural offense), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 511 (attempting to commit offense punishable with life imprisonment) under the Indian Penal Code.

The complaint filed to police said that the doctor, who is a final-year medical student, took the boy from ICU to his duty room and subjected him to sodomy. Later he threatened the boy not to tell anyone or he would not be discharged from hospital.

Mean while, the accused doctor appeared before the AIIMS' three-member fact-finding committee. AIIMS also barred the doctor from attending the Out Patient Department. The AIIMS committee is expected to submit its report within seven days.
