Salgaocar defeats Mumbai FC 1-0

Kolhapur, Jan 30 (PTI) Goa''s Salgaocar Sports Club todaydefeated Mumbai FC by a solitary goal to strengthen itsposition at the second place in the points table in the 12thround I-League match here today.

Japanese import Ryuji Sueoka scored the only goal of thematch in the 34th minute to secure victory for the visitors.

With this win Salgaocar have 27 points from 12 matches,three behind table toppers East Bengal, who have 30 pointsfrom as many matches.

Meanwhile, the hosts, who suffered their fourth defeat ofthe tourney, have 20 points and are fourth in the pointstable.
