Oil spilling from Naval warship after collision: official
Mumbai, Jan 31 (PTI) An oil spill has been reportedfrom the Indian Naval warship, which suffered a major fire andis listing after collision with a merchant vessel, a CoastGuard official said today.
"Oil is spilling out from the warship. It is not yetclear as to how much oil spilled from the ship," the officialtold PTI.
Coast Guard Inspector General (West Region) S P S Basrarefused to comment on the spill but said they have positionedall the equipment, the Navy and Coast Guard personnel on thejob to control any sort of situation.
INS Vindhyagiri had collided with a Norwegian containervessel M V Nordlake, in the Mumbai harbour yesterday and wasbrought to the Navy dockyard.
