Vehicle thieves arrested
New Delhi, Jan 29 (PTI) Two men, who allegedly used tosteal vehicles and sell them to villagers at cheap rates, werearrested here, police said today.
The arrested have been identified as Babloo (35) andRaju Gaur (41). They were arrested from Mehrauli yesterday.
Babloo used to work as tailor in Bulandshehar and in abid to earn good money, he came to Delhi in 2003 but returnedhome two years later. Gaur used to do farming but as he couldnot earn profitable amount he too left farming.
"Both the accused met each other in a jail located inUttar Pradesh, when they narrated to each other about theirambitions of earning quick bucks. Babloo advised Gaur thattwo-wheelers are in demand in their village, which could fetchthem good money," a senior police official said.
"They used to steal two-wheelers and sell them for Rs5,000 to Rs 10,000. They used to charge Rs 5,000 if the buyeragrees to purchase the vehicle without any document and sellit for upto Rs 10,000 to those buyers who demanded documents,"the official said.
They started stealing vehicles from Delhi as itfetched them more money, so they came to Delhi to have a recceof the area, from where they can easily steal the vehicle.
They have allegedly stolen about 15 vehicles fromdifferent parts of Uttar Pradesh.
