Stalin greets Alagiri on eve of b''day

Madurai, Jan 29 (PTI) Seeking to put an end to speculationabout a rift with his elder sibling, Tamil Nadu Deputy ChiefMinister M K Stalin today called on Union Minister M K Alagirihere to greet him on the eve of his 60th birthday.

Alagiri was wished by Stalin who was accompanied by Selvi,their sister.

"I came one day in advance..because Annan (brother) said hewill not be in the city tomorrow," Stalin said.

Alagiri, who had reportedly protested inaction by the partyagainst former Telecom Minister A Raja over the 2G spectrumscam, recently met his father and party chief M Karunandhi tosort out the differences.

After the meeting, he denied making any demand for actionagainst Raja.

On Thursday, Alagiri and his wife Gandhi exchanged garlandsin the presence of Karunanidhi and family members to celebratehis 60th birth day as per birth star.
