Pakistani national released, to be sent back

Chhindwara (MP), Jan 30 (PTI) A 27-year-old Pakistaninational who had illegally entered to India in September lastyear to meet a local girl, who he claimed to have married, hasbeen released.

Azhar Ali will be now deported, Superintendent ofPolice for Chhindwara, Dr Apish Kumar told PTI here today.

The SP said the Pakistani national would now either betaken to the international check-post on the Indo-Pak border,or handed over to the Pakistan High Commission, forrepatriation.

Azhar, a resident of Cheena village near Lahore, hadmet Ratna Soni, native of the Chhindwara district of MadhyaPradesh, in Kuala Lumpur where she had gone with her troupefor a dance performance.

He claimed to be in love with her, and have marriedher.

He was sentenced to one year''s imprisonment inSeptember last year after he landed in the state without visa,but the sentence was commuted on the Republic Day.
