J-K govt initiates action against 27 absent employees

Srinagar, Jan 29 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir governmenttoday initiated action against 27 employees who were foundabsent during a surprise inspection in Pulwama district.

As many as 27 employees were found unauthorisedlyabsent from the duty during the surprise inspection yesterdayand action under rules was initiated against them, an officialspokesman said.

"On the instructions of Divisional CommissionerKashmir Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon, a team of officers headed byAdditional Commissioner, Abdul Majid Wani conducted surpriseinspection of 16 offices in Pampore, Awantipora and Tral inPulwama district," the spokesman said.

The team while checking Block Development OfficePampore found only two Class IV employees present in theoffice, he said.
