Court drops charges against Sonia, Rahul
Muzaffarpur, Jan 29 (PTI) A Bihar court today droppedthe names of Congress President Sonia Gandhi and GeneralSecretary Rahul Gandhi from a complaint petition followingwithdrawal of charges made against them by the petitioner inconnection with a case of cheating.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Ramesh Chandra Malviya,however, summoned AICC in-charge of Bihar and Union MinisterMukul Wasnik and the party''s Muzaffarpur district head VinitaVijay to appear in person on March 9.
In his complaint S K Ojha had earlier alleged thatSonia Gandhi and six others had cheated him by making falsepromises of giving him a party ticket for the last stateAssembly elections.
In his initial complaint, Ojha said that Bihar PCCchief Choudhary Mehboob Ali Kaiser had advised him to meetWasnik, who he alleged, had demanded money for allottingparty ticket to him.
Ojha then tried to meet Rahul Gandhi but failed andfiled the complaint to the court against the five amongothers.
