San Diego, Jan 29 (PTI) For the second day running, ArjunAtwal had a mid-round lapse and ended with a even-par 72 thatwas not enough to keep him in the hunt for the weekend at theFarmer''s Insurance Open at Torrey Pines here today.
The Orlando-based Indian, playing his second round at theNorth Course totaled one-over 145 and missed the cut by twostrokes.
Atwal birdied the second and fourth and later on hadbirdies on ninth and 15th. But drop shots on seventh, eighth,tenth and 14th holes spoiled his card.
Bill Haas shot eight birdies on the South Course for asix-under 66, giving him a two-shot lead over Anthony Kimgoing into the weekend.
Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson had good finishes andmoved up. Mickelson shot a three-under 69 and is one of theseven in the bunch at tied third.
The bunch included defending champion Ben Crane (66) andJohn Daly (69) at eight-under.
Woods, who has won his last five starts at Torrey Pines,stayed in the game with a 69 for a tied 12th place atsix-under 138.
