New Delhi, Jan 29 (ANI): Mamata Banerjee will become the first woman chief minister of West Bengal with her party the Trinamool Congress (TMC) winning the 2011 assembly elections convincingly, according to politicsparty.com.

Politicsparty.com, which conducted a voters' attitude poll, in all the 294 assembly constituencies in West Bengal to understand the voters mood four months before the polls has come out with this opinion.

The research survey to gauge the voters mood was conducted over four-days during January 25 to 28.

During the survey, they interviewed around 200 people (100 men and 100 women) in each assembly constituency.

A team of highly qualified specialist psephologists with no political loyalties and possessing independent professional integrity conducted the poll.

According to the survey, Mamata Banerjee-led TMC will win 150 seats out of the total 294 seats, while Left Front (Communists) will win 130 seats, which is quite less than what they had won in the 2006 assembly polls.

The Communists are no longer the heroes of the ordinary voters, as the Bengali voters perceive them responsible for their poverty, unemployment, low incomes, lack of infrastructure, corruption and mis-governance, says the survey.

Mamata Banerjee is riding ahead of all others to form the West Bengal Government, says the survey. (ANI)
