Youth held for sodomy

New Delhi, Jan 27 (PTI) A teenaged boy was sodomised andstabbed allegedly by a youth in west Delhi who was laterarrested, police said today.

The incident was reported from Mayapuri area yesterdayand 25-year-old Mohd Arif was arrested in connection with thecase, they said.

The minor, who hails from Bihar, had come to the nationalcapital in search of a job and had approached one of hisformer colleagues who was working in a factory at Mayapuri.

The former colleague suggested him to stay for about aweek at the factory premises along with him and to have afirst hand experience of the work before making any decision.

The teenager, in the meantime, got in touch with Arif,who was working in another factory opposite to the place wherethe minor was staying.

Yesterday afternoon, Arif approached him and asked him tofollow to his room to watch Republic Day celebrations ontelevision. After the boy went there, Arif allegedly sodomisedhim. When the teenager resisted, he allegedly stabbed himseveral times and forced him out of his factory.

The teenager''s friend then called police who rushed thevictim to Dayal Upadhyay Hospital.

A case has been registered against Arif for attempt tomurder, sodomy, threatening and confinement.
