Sanitary Inspector suspended for tricolour insult incident
Beed, Jan 27 (PTI) A Sanitary Inspector was todaysuspended in connection with an incident related to allegedinsult of the tricolur during the Republic Day function atAmbajogai Municipal Council premises near here.
Sanitary Inspector Anant Vede has been suspended forthe incident yesterday, Chief Officer of the MunicipalCouncil Devidas Jadhav said.
The national flag, hoisted by of Ambajogai MunicipalCouncil President Prithviraj Chate, soon fell on the ground.
A man climbed on the pole and put the national flagback on its place, but it fell again, Zila Parishad memberSanjay Daund had said in a police complaint.
It is an insult of the national flag, he had said anddemanded action against the persons concerned.
It was Vede''s responsibility to ensure that the ropeand the flag were in good condition and the tricolour wasunfurled in the correct way, Jadhav said.
