Davos, Jan 27 (Itar-Tass) Russian President DmitryMedvedev offers the new generation of politicians that cameafter the Cold War period to jointly build a free world devoidof double standards.
"Our task is to use all possibilities to create a newworld, which the overwhelming majority of citizens will see asjust," Medvedev said at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
"The world where success is determined in a greaterdegree by talent and work, than by which country and whichfamily the person was born in," he stressed.
"The world where billions of people could communicatedirectly. The world where the people are not afraid of theauthorities, while international relations are devoid ofdouble standards and hypocrisy.
Where it would be more efficient, easier and better towork together," the president said.
He believes this is a real task, all the more becausepoliticians who matured already after the Cold War have cometo power. "And we indeed can discuss and realise our dreamstogether," he said.
"All this must make us move towards a much higher level oftransparency and coordination of our activity. I believe thatpositive changes in relations between Russia and the USA are agood example of new principles and approaches in internationalpolicy," he said, mentioning the ratification of the START-3treaty by the Russian parliament.
