Australian Open: Indian Express in finals again

Melbourne, Jan 27: After 9 years of waiting, the Indian Express - Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi are on the way to grab the title of the grand slam. The duo on Thursday, Jan 27 entered into the men's doubles finals of the Australian Open.

Paes-Bhupathi hit the second seed pair of Belarusian Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor of Canada by 7-6(5) 4-6 6-3.

Now, the Indian Express will face American twins Mike and Bob Bryan in the grand finale of Australian Open.

After winning their fifth Chennai Open title and their 24th overall as a pair, Mahesh-Leander reached the Australian Open.

Interestingly, neither Leander nor Mahesh have ever won the men's doubles title at Melbourne Park. The duo did reach the final in 1999, losing in five sets to the Swedish-Australian combination of Jonas Bjorkman and Patrick Rafter.

Now, it's there time to take bag the title and to create another history.
