Tirupati, Jan 25 (PTI) Beleaguered by politicaltroubles, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa todaysought divine intervention by performing a Rahu-Ketu pooja atthe ancient shrine in Sri Kalahasti near here.
Yeddyurappa, against whom Governor H R Bhardwaj gavesanction for prosecution over alleged land scam charges, alsooffered prayers to the presiding deity of Lord Vayulingeswarabefore winding up his about two-hour pilgrimage, templesources told PTI.
Yeddyurappa has been a regular visitor to importanttemples in neighbouring southern states, particularly TamilNadu and had made liberal contributions, inviting criticismfrom Opposition back home.
Emerging from the temple, he told reporters that therewas no political crisis in Karnataka and he was confident ofcompleting his government''s full term in power.
Earlier, Yeddyurappa reached the temple by road afterarriving at Renigunta, 30 km from Kalahasti, by a specialaircraft.
