Uttarakhand to create 50,000 jobs this year
Dehradun, Jan 25 (PTI) The Uttarakhand government hasset a target of creating nearly 50,000 jobs this year for thepeople of the state, Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishanksaid today.
In his message on the eve of Republic Day, Nishanksaid the state government has launched various developmentaland welfare schemes for all sections of society like women,youths and old-aged persons.
The hill state is among the top six states of India,which are attracting huge industrial investment, an officialrelease said here.
The Central Planning Commission has also approvedweightage on financial grant to Uttarakhand for conservationof environment and forests, it added.
In an another statement, Nishank slammed both the UPAGovernment and the National Conference-led government in Jammuand Kashmir for "banning" the flag hoisting at Lal Chowk.
The citizens of the country were free to hoist thetricolour in any part of India as it is a symbol of pride andnationalism, he said.
The chief minister also telephoned senior BJP leadersSushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley and Ananth Kumar.
