London, Jan 26 (ANI): Those who have been invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding have received a fax from the Queen, instructing them to keep themselves free on 29th April this year.

A St James's Palace aide said, "The Lord Chamberlain's Office does give a heads-up to royal families first, in line with protocol," reports the Daily Mail.

The protocol dictates that sovereigns are given earlier warning than foreign heads of state and non-VIP guests.

According to senior aides, this was the most 'efficient' way of passing on information about 'large-scale' events.

King Constantine, the former sovereign of Greece, his wife Queen Anne-Marie, 64, and their eldest son Crown Prince Pavlov, 43, will be attending too.

Meanwhile, Serbia's Crown Prince Alexander, who is the Queen's godson, and his wife Crown Princess Katherine, released a statement on their website in way of RSVP.

It said, "Their Royal Highnesses are delighted to attend the marriage and are very happy for the young couple." (ANI)
