Maken interacts with NSS volunteers

New Delhi, Jan 25 (PTI) New Sports Minister Ajay Makentoday visited the National Service Scheme (NSS) Republic Daycamp at the Jamia Millia Islamia here and spent timeinteracting with the volunteers from various states of thecountry.

Maken, who had yesterday created a flutter by sackingSuresh Kalmadi as the Chairman of the CWG OrganisingCommittee, had a look at the facilities provided for thecampers who are here to take part in the Republic Day parade.

In a touching gesture, the young Sports Ministerinteracted with all the groups of volunteers and posed forphotographs with them.

"Are you all comfortable here ? Are you facing anydifficulties ? Maken asked the volunteers as he moved from onegroup to the other.

Maken told the volunteers that it was an idealopportunity to learn various languages from their fellowcampers and grow as a human being by imbibing variouscultures.

In his brief address, Maken said the camp was a perfectplatform for national integrations as volunteers from so manystates have gathered here.

"I have come here to meet you and boost your moralebefore you take part in the Republic Day parade. Tomorrow Iwill be clapping for you people", he said.
