Naidu for special statute to curb corruption

Guntur, Jan 26: A separate legislation should be brought out to wipe out corruption in the country, said Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu in Guntur on Wednesday, Jan 26.

Naidu said that Telugu people would fight till Bharat Ratna, the country's highest civilian award, was bestowed on late TDP founder N T Rama Rao.

He described the statement of Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee on black money as ridiculous. "Pranab's statement that it is not possible to bring the black money stashed by Indians in foreign banks is riduculous," he said.

Naidu said Rs two lakh could be given to each household in the country if the Union Government forfeits the Rs 73 lakh crore Indian black money stashed in foreign banks.
