Shimla, January 24 (PTI) The Union Minister for micro,small and medium enterprise Virbhadra Singh today said that heis fully satisfied with his new ministry and has a lot of workto do in it.
Singh, who reached here this morning, said that acampaign was launched in the media and TV channels that he wasbeing dropped but only his portfolio has been changed.
He said he was happy with the portfolio as there was hescope for contacts with masses and in countries like China andJapan, MSME constituted major chunk of the industrial sector.
He said that he would try to strengthen this sector whichhas wide scope for investment and job potential and the statewould gain from it.
When asked about the CD case in which a key witness hadtold that his statement was forged, Singh said that the matterwas subjudice and did not want to talk about it. However, thegovernment had been conspiring to implicate him in some casefrom the day it assumed power and the truth would come outsoon, he added.
Referring to the recent Panchayat and urban local bodieselections in the state, Singh said that BJP''s victory claimswere hollow and their leaders were aware of the groundsituation.
The manner in which the ruling party had used theofficial machinery and other resources to muster majority inZila Parishads and urban local bodies was known to all andeven if the BJP captured these bodies, the ground situationwould remain unchanged.
These elections did not fully reflected people''s mood andthe real threat would be coming assembly elections in whichCongress was poised to do better, he asserted.
