Rahul on three-day Maharashtra tour from Jan 27

Mumbai, Jan 25 (PTI) AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhiwill undertake a three day tour of Maharashtra from January 27to take stock of the Youth Congress''s membership drive in thestate.

The Congress leader will visit Gadchiroli, Buldhana andParbhani districts on January 27.

He would be arriving at Nagpur airport and fly toGadchiroli in a chhopper at 10 am to meet tribals at the''Adiwasi Melawa'' in Z P ground opposite SP office in the townfrom where he will proceed to Buldhana to interact with youththere, police said.

Next day, he will travel to Osmanabad, Dhule, Shirdi andAurangabad. On January 29, he will visit Palghar, Satara andRaigad districts.

MPCC General Secretary Ganesh Patil said Gandhi willinteract with Youth Congress activists and newly enrolledmembers during his visit. In Shirdi, the Youth Congressconvention will comprise interaction with women whereas inother places, the conventions will be for SC/ST/OBCs,minorities.

The AICC General secretary will attend a meeting of MPs,MLAs, Block presidents in Aurangabad where Chief MinisterPrithviraj Chavan will also be present.

"He is slated to address the media on January 29 inAurangabad before heading to Palghar, Raigad and Satara," headded.

This will be Gandhi''s second visit to Vidarbha regionwithin six months. Earlier, he had visited Dr PunjabraoDeshmukh Agriculture University in Akola and addressedagriculture students in a closed door meet.
