Among the 1450 vacancies, 450 posts are for Probationary Officers and 1000 posts for Clerk vacancies. The expected salaries for the post of Probationary Officers and Clerk are Rs 14500–25700 and Rs 7200–19300 respectively.
The qualifications for the above mentioned posts should be Graduate with 60 percent marks or equivalent CGPA or equivalent for the Officer's post and Graduate or 12th with 60 percent marks for Clerk post.

However, the Chairman and Managing Director of Andhra Bank, R Ramachandran, stated that they would like to double the business from Gujarat in the next two years.
"Our current business from Gujarat is over Rs 2000crore, we plan to double it in the next two years. We see great potential in Gujarat as the state was rapidly developing in the field of ports, chemical industry, power and other sectors," stated Ramachandran on Jan 24.
