Washington, Jan 24 (ANI): House majority leader Eric Cantor has said that he thinks Barack Obama was born in the US, but refused to call birthers' disproved claims 'crazy talk.'
"Most Americans really are beyond that," The Washington Post quoted Cantor as saying in an interview on NBC's 'Meet the Press'.
"I don't think it's nice to call anyone crazy. I don't think it's an issue that we need to address at all. It is not an issue that even needs to be on the policy-making table right now whatsoever."I think the president is a citizen of the United States. I think this president wants what's best for this country," he said.
Cantor also insisted that "the media and others in the country" have generated the issue. (ANI)
