London, Jan 24 (ANI): The Asian gang in UK, that has been arrested, is said to have forced six schoolgirls to sell sex in return for food, booze and mobile phone top-ups.
Nine men aged 20 to 52, mostly British-born Pakistanis, are accused of abusing the girls aged 13 to 16 and putting them to work as child prostitutes, the Daily Star reported.
The charges allege the girls, all British, were taken to various places, including restaurants and a fish and chip shop to be sold for sex, and were forced into sex acts in a car, churchyard, college, a beauty spot and while one man's wife was just feet away behind a fence.
One girl was allegedly sold for sex to another man for just 20 dollars, which was used to buy alcohol. On another occasion, it is claimed she was given money, food and alcohol in return.
Another girl was allegedly urged to sell her body for mobile phone top-ups. One of the accused is said to have claimed he had recorded another man abusing one of the youngsters.
The men, who all come from the Telford area of Shropshire, are Ahdel Ali, 23, Mubarek Ali, 27, Tanveer Ahmed, 38, Mohammed Choudhrey, 52, Mohammed Sultan, 24, Abdul Rauf, 34, Noshad Hussain, 20, Mahroof Khan, 33, and Mohammed Younis, 59.
They deny charges including rape, sexual exploitation, facilitating child prostitution and trafficking.
Their trial was adjourned until April 15 and is due to begin in full at Stafford Crown Court in May, and all the defendants were granted conditional bail at Shrewsbury Crown Court. (ANI)
