State ranking tennis tournament from Jan 28 in Assam

Guwahati, Jan 21 (PTI) The 13th India Club Open TennisChampionship, a state ranking tournament of the All AssamTennis Association, will be held from January 28 till Februaryone next.

The Club''s tennis joint secretary Diganta Thakur saidthe Championship to be held in the Club courts wouldhave various events, including singles for girls under-14years and under-18 years, boys under 12 years, under14 yearsand under 18 years.



Men''s singles, men''s doubles, veteran men''s doubles(above 35 years) and veteran men''s doubles (above 55 years)would also be played, Thakur said.

In addition to gifts and trophies, scholarship moneyof Rs.40,000 had also been earmarked for various events, headded.
