Two kidnapped
Chatra (Jharkhand), Jan 20 (PTI) The son andson-in-law of a member of the Zilla Parishad were kidnappedfrom Chatra town in Chatra district.
Parishad member Baleswar Kushwaha''s son and hisson-in-law were kidnapped last night from their house here,Sadar Police Station Inspector Ratan Kumar told newsmen here.
Kushawa''s daughter-in-law, Sangita, filed an FIRagainst former minister Satyanand Bhokta and some others forthe kidnap, he said.
The FIR alleged that the abduction was a sequel toKushwaha''s refusal to support Bhokta''s wife who is in the frayfor today''s elections for Zilla Parishad chairman, as demandedby the former minister.
The FIR was filed under sections 364 (kidnapping orabducting in order to murder), 452 (house trespass) and 120-B(criminal conspiracy) of IPC against Bhokta and others.
Contacted, Bhokta said "The charges against me arebaseless, fabricated and a conspiracy." PTI CORR PVR
