Jaffer to lead West Zone in Duleep Trophy

Mumbai, Jan 19 (PTI) Former India opener and Mumbaiskipper Wasim Jaffer will lead West Zone in the DuleepTrophy semi-final against North Zone.

Middle-order batsmen Rohit Sharma, who has been leftout of India''s World Cup squad and Cheteshwar Pujara, whoplayed two Tests against South Africa, are part of the squad.

Left-arm pacer Jaidev Unadkat, who recently made hisTest debut against the Proteas, and India internationalsRavindra Jadeja and Parthiv Patel are also a part of theteam, a statement said here today.

West Zone will take on North Zone at Vadodara fromJanuary 26 to 29. The same squad will be retained if the WestZone enters the final, which will be played from February 2-6at Visakhapatnam, the statement added.
