Normalcy returning to riot-hit Maharashtra town
Amravati, Jan 18 (PTI) District administration todayrelaxed the curfew in Warud for 12 hours as the riot-hit townnear here was fast returning to normal, police said.
The curfew was imposed in Warud yesterday following aclash between two communities. Police have till now arrested28 persons in connection with the violence.
As the situation improved, police relaxed the curfewfrom 6 am to 6 pm. During this period, shops, businessestablishments, banks and offices were open, while schools andcolleges were kept closed, police said.
No untoward incident occurred during the relaxationhours, they added.
