Most national highways thrown open to traffic in HP
Shimla, Jan 18 (PTI) Most national highways in thehill state of Himachal Pradesh, blocked due to heavy snowing,have been opened for vehicular traffic.
These highways have been cleared of snow, an officialspokesman said.
The national highway no 22 (the Hindustan-Tibet road)has been cleared of snow and thrown open up to Jeory, theysaid.
Theog-Kotkhai-Hatkoti-Rohru roads were also openedyesterday and the road from Shimla to Chopal a day before.
The Dodra-Kawar road, under six-ft of snow, would beopened up to Larot in next 2-3 days, the spokesman said.
Roads from Chamba to Bharmour, Salooni, Dalhousie andTissa have also been opened, the spokesman added.
