MLA murder accused fear threat to life
Purnia, Jan 18 (PTI) Rupam Pathak and Nawlesh Pathak,accused in the Purnia BJP MLA Raj Kishore Keshari murder casetoday alleged that there was a conspiracy to murder theminside their cells in the central prison here.
''''There is a conspiracy hatched by some powerful peopleto kill us,'''' the two told mediapersons outside the localcourt here.
They, however, did not elaborate.
Nawlesh urged mediapersons to give ''due coverage'' tothe threat on his life as well as that of Rupam so that theirsecurity and safety could be ensured.
Earlier, Rupam Pathak who allegedly knifed the MLA todeath and Nawlesh Pathak, charged with conspiracy in the casewere produced before the chief judicial magistrate D L Prasadwho extended their judicial remand till January 30 next.
Meanwhile, a petition filed by Rupam''s advocateseeking the court''s direction for her treatment at PatnaMedical College and Hospital was deferred for hearing by thecourt till tomorrow.
Keshari was stabbed to death allegedly by Rupam Pathakat his residence here on January 4.
