Cabinet reshuffle today: Who gains, who loses?
Government sources informed that today's (Wednesday, Jan 19) reshuffle will be a minor one though a larger, full-fledged reshuffle will take place after Parliament's Budget session which will be held in next month.
Sources also stated that the cabinet may see the induction of a few new faces and rearranging of a few portfolios.
After a final meeting between the PM and Congress president Sonia Gandhi to "tie up a few loose ends," the ultimate report will be sent off to the Rashtrapati Bhavan at around 11 am.
After A Raja's resignation, DMK's T R Baalu and his colleague T K S Elangovan may be inducted in the cabinet ministers' names.
Indications are that changes in the government are likely to be restricted to filling up of three Cabinet berths besides minor reshuffle in four-five ministries.
