29 child labourers rescued
New Delhi, Jan 18 (PTI) As many as 29 child labourerswere today rescued from Sadar area here by a joint team oflabour department, district task force and Delhi Police incollaboration with NGO Bachpan Bachao Andolan.
All the rescued children used to work in small-scaleindustries like purse, belt and cap making units, a pressrelease said.
Five owners of such units, which employed the children,were also arrested and a fine of Rs 20,000 fine on the basisof per child employed were imposed on them.
The child labourers hailed from Bihar and were broughthere by traffickers, police said.
