Select base metals firms up on stockist buying
Mumbai, Jan 18 (PTI) Select base metals firmed up at thenon-ferrous metal market here today due to good stockistbuying and industrial offtake amidst bullish trend at theLondon Metal Exchange (LME).
Meanwhile, tin, aluminium and copper wire bar declinedon lower demand from consumer industries.
Nickel and copper utensils scrap both rose by Rs 5 perkg to Rs 1,240 and Rs 408, respectively from overnight closinglevel of Rs 1,235 and Rs 408.
Brass utensils scrap moved up by Rs 3 per kilo to Rs 301as against Rs 298 previously.
Copper armiture and copper sheet cutting both inched upby Re 1 per kg each to Rs 435 and Rs 428, respectively.
However, Tin fell by Rs 5 per kilo to Rs 1,410 fromMonday''s closing level of Rs 1,415.
Aluminium utensils scrap and copper wire bar bothsoftened by Re 1 per kilo each to Rs 105 and Rs 481.
