Indore, Jan 17 (PTI) A team of National InvestigativeAgency (NIA) officials probing Samjhouta Express blast of 2007recently visited Giroda village near here in connection withthe murder of Ramprasad Kalouta who allegedly helped lateSunil Joshi, an accused in different bomb blasts in thecountry, sources said.
Officials suspected that Kalouta had helped Joshi indifferent blasts and are probing whether his murder has anylinks with the Joshi murder case, police said.
Joshi was killed in Dewas district of Madhya Pradeshin December 2007 while Kalouta''s body was found near therailway track in a suspicious manner under Sanver PoliceStation area in June 2008.
Initially police thought that Kalouta had committedsuicide but during detailed investigations it was found thathe was murdered.
Kalouta was allegedly murdered because of some financialdispute in the case which is under trial in a court whileaccused persons in the matter -- Dharmendra Jat, Lakhanand Jeewan are out on the bail.
Giroda village was on the radar of Rajasthan ATS alsofollowing alleged involvement of Kalouta in the Ajmer Dargahblast, police said.
Meanwhile, Indore Range Inspector General (IG), SanjayRana told PTI that he has asked for records of Kalouta murdercase in view of the NIA probing the issue.
Rana said that police is cooperating with the NIA and ifthe latter provides any fresh leads in the case, then it willfurther probe the case.
The NIA team reportedly quizzed Kalouta''s familymembers, but the local police did not confirm it.
