Historic National Games coming up, says J''khand CM

Ranchi, Jan 18 (PTI) Jharkhand Chief Minister ArjunMunda today poohed poohed the apprehensions that the NationalGames may not ne held as per schedule, saying it would be ahistoric event.

"Wait for another 20 days, and you will see a historicevent unfolding in Jharkhand," Munda said at a news conferencewhen his attention was drawn to the fast approaching Games andreported slow pace in completion of the infrastructure.

The vigilance bureau, which is probing allegations offinancial irregularities in allotment of tenders and purchaseof equipment, has made raids on the premises of the accused,he said.

The 34th National Games, postponed for seven times since2007, is scheduled from February 12 to 26.

India cricket team captain M S Dhoni has given consent tobe present at the opening ceremony.
