Chandigarh, Jan 18 (PTI) Haryana Finance Minister CaptainAjay Singh Yadav today said he is opposed to the acquisitionof agricultural land for commercial purposes and has alsowritten to the Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in thisregard.
"I am not in favour of acquiring fertile land offarmers," Yadav told reporters, adding that he has writtenletters to Hooda, suggesting him on several matters includingland acquisition policy.
Yadav demanded the state government to provide a job toa member of the family whose agricultural land has beenacquired and commercial plots to those who have lost theirresidential plots.
"If the government acquire a residential plot of anindividual, he should be provided with an alternativecommercial plot," he said here.
The minister, however, did not divulge what was theChief Minster''s response to the letters. "I will not divulgewhat transpired between me and Hooda to media."
Yadav also rubbished local media reports stating thereare differences between him and Hooda and said "some peopleare behind to create an impression that there are differencesbetween me and Hooda."
Meanwhile at Raj Bhawan, Chief Minister Hooda alsodenied the reports of differences between him and his cabinetcolleague.
On his "appreciation" for the policies of Gujarat ChiefMinister Narendra Modi, Yadav defended himself saying,"Gujarat is not Modi''s fiefdom...I have no love for Modi. I ama Congressman... but I am opposed to self centric politics."PTI VJ
