''Aseemanand''s confession has exposed Andhra Pradesh police''

Hyderabad, Jan 17 (PTI) Confessional statement of SwamiAseemanand, arrested by CBI in connection with Macca Masjidbomb blast case here, has exposed the Andhra Pradesh policewho falsely implicated Muslim youth, Civil LibertiesMonitoring Committee (CLMC) General Secretary Lateef Mohd Khansaid here today.

Innocent Muslims youth were "deliberately" harassed bythe state police, particularly Hyderabad police, in theaftermath of blast in Macca Masjid blast in 2007, Khan toldreporters here.

Demanding an apology from Andhra Pradesh government tothe Muslim youth who were tortured for no reason over theMacca Masjid blast, Khan said that those who involved inproviding local logistical support to Aseemanand should bearrested.

He also demanded that cases be booked against theHyderabad police officers who falsely implicated Muslim youth.
