Allan Donald set for role with New Zealand

By Pti

Wellington, Jan 18 (AFP) Former South African pacemanAllan Donald appears poised to join New Zealand as a bowlingconsultant after the Black Caps confirmed today they were intalks with the 44-year-old.

New Zealand Cricket said Donald was in the country fordiscussions but details of his role would not be releaseduntil they were finalised.

The most likely option would see the Black Caps appointDonald as bowling coach to tap the experience he gatheredduring a Test career which saw him claim 330 wickets.

The appointment of Donald, who retired from Test cricketin 2002, would continue a shake-up of the Black Caps'' supportstaff since John Wright was appointed head coach in December.
