Gumla (Jharkhand), Jan 16 (PTI) A woman, who hadaccused a former Inspector General of Police of sexualharassment three years ago, was today arrested on the chargeof leading an underground outfit here, police said.
Sushma Baraik was arrested from Ranchi on the strengthof an arrest warrant for leading underground Jharkhand Army,"Gumla Superintendent of Police, N K Singh told newsmen here.
The police had on August four arrested eight persons ofthe newly floated Jharkhand Army and one of them hadconfessed before a magistrate that Baraik was the head ofoutfit. Following this, police moved a local court forissuance of a warrant, he said.
Baraik denied the charge before the media here.
Baraik, who recently met Bihar Chief Minister, NitishKumar at his ''Janta Darbar'' in Patna and sought protection,had in 2008 accused former IGP S Natarajan of sexualexploitation.
