Rourkela DCC levels anti-party activities charge against MP
Rourkela, Jan 17 (PTI) The Rourkela District CongressCommittee (DCC) has taken exception to the ''anti-Congressactivities'' of Sundargarh Congress MP Hemananda Biswal.
"Hemananda Biswal has during his visit to Rourkelabeen attending functions and programmes organised by M D NPaniker, who has resigned from the INTUC and is not a memberof the Congress party, violating party norms," DCC presidentPrasanta Behera told newsmen here today.
Behera said that he had informed AICC president SoniaGandhi, AICC general secretary in-charge of Orissa Ghulam NabiAzad and PCC chief K P Singhdeo.
He said Paniker had been removed from the Sangha foranti-trade union activities about six months ago, but wasstill claiming to be the general secretary.
Behera alleged that Paniker was illegally occupyingthe first floor of the registered trade union office as hisresidence.
