Dempo rally to down Pune FC

���� Margao, Jan 16 (PTI) Dempo fought back in the secondhalf to down Pune FC by 2-1 to score their fourth win in theninth round of the I-league, played at the Nehru Stadium heretoday.

����� Pune FC led 1-0 at half time scored through KeitaMandjou.

Dempo fought back in the second and scored two goalsthrough Ranty Martins(80th) and Roberto Silva(84th) to collectfull points.

Dempo, who held upper hands in the midfield in both the�half but lacked the coordination with the upfront who failedto deliver the goods where Nicolau Borges and CliftonGonsalves were found wanting to meet the crosses from theflanks.

Dempo� had the first chance to take the lead but rivaldefender Selwyn Fernandes made a goal line save of NicolauBorges.

����� Pune FC upfront showed good coordination along withtheir midfield as they came with a counter move and took thelead in the 14th minute through a clinical finish from KeitaMandjou.

����� K Ajayan from the left relayed the ball to unmarkMandjou who seeing the rival keeper Laxmikant Kattimani movedup, essayed a firm shot from a 20-yards that found the farcorner of the net beating the keeper all ends.

����� Keita again had an opportunity to increase the lead inthe 22nd minute after defender John Dias was beaten by KAjayan pass, Keita who instead of taking first time shot triedto dogged the keeper but failed to beat and Marcus Peixotodrove the ball out to safety. .
