Dehra Dun, Jan 16 (PTI) Criticising the BJP governmentin Uttarakhand for indulging in corruption, Congress todayalleged that the state government had committed wide-spreadirregularities in Central funds meant for providing reliefafter natural disasters as well as SAF winter games.
Addressing a rally at Doiwala near here, Leader of theOpposition in State Assembly Harak Singh Rawat alleged thatthe Ramesh Pokhariyal Nishank government had indulged incorruption on a large scale.
Rawat said the state government took back its decisionson the allotment of mini hydro projects and concessions givento a private housing developer in Rishikesh when, in responseto PILs, the High Court said it was wrong action.
He said the Central government gave funds for mitigatingnatural disasters and organising SAF winter games but thestate government committed wide-spread irregularities anddiverted the funds elsewhere.
Stating that Congress would continue to expose the BJPgovernment, Rawat claimed that the party would be voted topower in the next Assembly elections due next year.
