Havana, Jan 15 (Prensa Latina) The trial of internationalterrorist Luis Posada Carriles in a US court marked the weekin Cuba, where further evidence of his crimes was revealed.
Revelations came in the wake of a special Cubantelevision programme featuring comments by SalvadorianFrancisco Chavez Abarca, recently sentenced here to 30 yearsin jail for terrorism against Cuba.
Chavez Abarca described himself as a puppet of Posada,who faces charges solely for fraud, obstruction of justice andfalse testimony to immigration officials in 2005 when heillegally entered the United States.
Chavez Abarca alleged that Posada Carriles was involvedin preparing explosives used in attacks in Havana and saidthat he was also directly involved in hiding C-4, anexplosive, in a television taken to Havana by anotherterrorist, Raul Cruz Leon.
The bomb was planted in the Copacabana Hotel in Havana,killing Italian tourist Fabio Di Celmo on February 4, 1997.
Also related to the Posada Carriles case was the decisionof Google-owned Youtube to close the account of the Cubadebatewebsite, in a move that triggered a movement of protest andsolidarity.
