Raut, Sudha, Tejaswini in Maha squad for National Games

Pune, Jan 16 (PTI) Kavita Raut, the 10,000m CWG bronzemedallist, Asian Games gold medallist Sudha Singh and worldchampion shooter Tejaswini Sawant are among the 385 athleteswho will represent Maharashtra in the 34th National Games tobe held in Ranchi next month.

Raut will lead the 40-member athletics team, alsoincluding Sudha, in the event, a Maharashtra OlympicAssociation (MOA) release said today.

Other prominent names to represent the state include CWGgold medal winning wrestler Narsingh Yadav, Asian gamesbrone-medallist swimmer Virdhawal Khade, and tennis ace KaranRastogi.

While Olympian Vikram Pillay will lead the state hockeysquad, also consisting of Adrian D''souza and Shivender Singh,Nitin Kirtane will lead the tennis team, it added.

"A delegation of 486 members, including 385 athletes and101 officials, under Chandrakant Shirole will take part in the34th National Games in Ranchi, next month," the release said.
