New Delhi, Jan 16 (PTI) With an aim to give the country afew Olympic medal winners at 2016 Games, ace Indian shooterGagan Narang has joined hands with an NGO ''Lakshya'' to open ashooting academy -- Gun for Glory -- in Pune.
Narang today unveiled the logo of the academy for Pistol,Rifle and shotgun training and will launch it later this yearat the Shiv Chatrapati Sports Complex in Pune.
"The time has come where all of us have to contributetowards taking shooting to greater heights and this is mysmall contribution to the effort," Narang said through apress release.
"Gun for Glory academy, which I''m starting in associationwith the help of Pune based Sports NGO Lakshya s being startedwith a goal to provide India with more medals during 2016Olympics and other international tournaments," he added.
The Academy will be administered by Indian shootingteam''s Assistant coach Pawan Singh and international aceshooter Ronak Pandit will be the consulting Director.
The academy will be situated at the Balewadi complexshooting range and will have foreign coaches, Sports InjuryManagement Team, Physiotherapist, Foreign Armorer, Yoga Guru,Dietitian, Masseur, Gun testing facility, Equipment control
