Jammu, Jan 15 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief MinisterOmar Abdullah today said the sustained efforts of hisgovernment to create an amiable atmosphere for resolvingpolitical issues are finally yielding "positive" results.
"My government''s sustained endeavours to createpolitical atmosphere for tackling political issues havestarted yielding positive results," he said here at a functionon completion of two-year of his government.
The Chief Minister said he is committed to facilitatedialogue process and help in expanding confidence buildingmeasures for resolving political issues in the state.
Enumerating the achievements of his government, Omarsaid during the two years of his rule 25,000 educated youthsgot government jobs, while more than 43,000 people wereprovided employment in other sectors.
"Besides providing considerable employment to theyouth in government sector, our endeavour is to help themventure in a big way in the field of entrepreneurship sector,"he said.
The National Conference Chief Minister said "Ouragenda is to ensure equitable development of all regions andsub-regions of the state and in this direction a comprehensivepolicy has been put in place."
Omar also appealed to the people to maintain communalharmony in the state, saying "Many people want to disturb thecommunal harmony prevailing in the state since ages andde-stabilise the bonds of solidarity between variousreligions. You should stand firmly against such forces andfoil their designs." PTI AB
