Johannesburg, Jan 15 (PTI) Five bogeys on the back-nine,including three successive, saw Indian golfer SSP Chowrasiamiss his second successive cut as he fell by the wayside inthe Jo''burg Open here.
The Indian, who was hoping for a good start to 2011,ended with rounds of 67 and 74 in the event and missed the cutby two shots.
Chowrasia''s only two birdies came on the second and 13thand he bogeyed the ninth, 10th, 16th, 17th and 18th holes.Last week he missed the cut in Africa Open.
South African Charl Schwartzel''s brilliant 10-under 61gave him a share of a three-way lead after two days of theevent.
On a day when almost three hours were lost due to athunderstorm, defending champion Schwartzel tore up the WestCourse with 10 birdies, including a tee shot to eight feet atthe par-three 16th.
That left him 13-under at the halfway stage, along withfellow South African Garth Mulroy and England''s Jamie Elson,although not all of the field were able to complete theirsecond rounds after the lengthy delay.
Mulroy and Elson both carded rounds of 64 on the tougherEast Course layout.
